EOE Posting Reference: 2W19.12 Designation :  Enterprise Security AdministratorClassification Title :  Information Technology Security Analyst II  Salary Group : B25 GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Position performs advanced (senior-level) enterprise security administration and architecture work. Work involves monitoring, maintaining, scanning, implementing, planning, and architecting enterprise security systems, network, infrastructure, and application information systems. Additionally, the position includes log monitoring, analysis, intrusion detection, procedure development and the evaluation of enterprise security systems for potential vulnerabilities and security enhancements. Work activities include providing analysis and guidance in strategic operations and planning associated with infrastructure systems. Position works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Architect enterprise security systems including IPS, DLP and SIEM systems, vulnerability scanners and security information management toolsArchitect security controls for infrastructure systems including routers, switches, servers, workstations, web and other applicationsResearch, evaluate and recommend systems and procedures for the prevention, detection, containment and correction of data security breachesDevelop processes, procedures, monitoring practices and metrics to measure the effectiveness of security operations activities and lead towards process maturityServe as Technical Lead on projects as necessaryServe as liaison to the Information Security DivisionImplement and maintain enterprise security systems including IPS, DLP and SIEM systems, vulnerability scanners and security information management toolsImplement and maintain security controls for infrastructure systems including routers, switches, servers, workstations, web and other applicationsPerform and review infrastructure and application systems vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with recognized industry standards and best practicesSupport and if appropriate lead incident response activities including coordination of immediate corrective action to systems known to have any security weaknesses or vulnerabilities, including network isolation, re-configuration and installing appropriate patches or upgradesMonitors, analyze and evaluates security events generated by infrastructure and application systemsTroubleshoots complex systems problems related to network, security, infrastructure and application information systemsProvide ongoing monitoring of sources of information on potential threats and vulnerabilities, including hacker web sites, anti-virus vendors, other government agencies and trade publications.Creates and maintains accurate documentation of current enterprise security environmentPerforms other duties as assigned
