Details: The Channel Merchant reports to the channel General Manager and is responsible for the management and execution of all merchandising elements within the channel. These responsibilities include planning, forecasting and achieving budgeted volume and earnings targets. Responsible for achieving budgeted channel activation volume and profitability Promotional planning on a rolling 3 month basis Manage carrier field support ensure field understanding of all key initiatives Assortment transition management through the lifecycle of each handset including executing a 90 day product purchase plan with the Buyers. Support in financial forecasting for the channel Provide directional feedback on performance versus plan and create value to the relationship and proactively identify potential issues and strategies. Coordinate kiosk opening calendar and support items with carrier and manufacturer partners. Weekly conference calls with the Retail Partner Promotional Planning 3 months out and document accordingly Provide directional feedback on performance vs. plan and manage the business relationship with the Retail Partner to the needs of the business Create the Plan to Sell and Meet Comp Reaction weekly Perform root cause analysis on previous week’s sales versus plan Action plan on business issues to create resolution and positive results Participates in channel and departmental staff meetings Be proactive and collaborate with Replenishment Planner and Buyers to execute on supply chain management for the channel Responsible for providing feedback on channel trends during the forecasting process Provide leadership and training to merchandise coordinator and cross-functional team members Maintain excellent working relationships with all departments within corporate office, the field, and external vendors Support internal departments with proactive communication and timely information Regular communication with all carriers and manufacturers Responsible to lead and implement projects as designated by channel General Manager.We’ve Got You Covered Paid training 401(k) with company match Company Paid Commuter Program Paid Holidays
