Details: Job Responsibilities:Air Combat Command (ACC)/A8Y requires an UAS/ISR System Information Technology Subject Matter Expert (SME). Candidates will provide assistance in requirements development and modernization of airborne ISR aircraft and ground station systems including radios, radars, satellites, and information networks in support of the UAS Defense Avionics and Communications systems. To accomplish this work, candidates must be able to perform the following tasks in supporting UAS Defense Avionics and Intelligence, Surveillance and Recognizance (ISR) airborne requirements: a. Meet joint interoperability and spectrum compliance of existing architectures and network-centric information domain. b. Evaluate engineering solutions to ensure they meet communications requirements. c. Provide communications support for ACC UAS systems operations and user requirements at working groups, conferences, program management and design reviews, SATAFs, Site Surveys, and deployments.d. Coordinate engineering site surveys to build communications architecture for system worldwide bed down. e. Assists in development of requirements and manage modernization projects for narrowband SATCOM to include integration with the Joint Ariel Layer network, BACN, RQ-4; Instantiates INMARSAT upgraded services and UHF SATCOM migration to UHF SATCOM Integrated Waveform and then Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) which replace UHF SATCOM. f. Provide support in the modernization of airborne radios, radar, SATCOM, and information networks. Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Logistics or a related technical or military discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/USAF experience. Required Work Experience:5-8 years' experience in UAS/ISR programs at HDQs Air Force (HAF)/A8 or ACC/A8 Staff required. Sample experience requirements follow:? Preparation of programming inputs to include: POM, Budget Estimate Submission, President's Budget, impact assessments, and system acquisition plans.? Decomposing operational requirements into technical requirements and specifications; assist developers in cost and performance trade-off analysis to support system design decisions; provide education to developers on analytical basis of requirements, relevant guidance, architectures, interoperability, and issues requiring additional analysis.? Support CONUS and OCONUS system fielding plans; unit standup; support contingency planning and execution; quarterly system bed down plan updates; manpower requisition requests; and correspondence to execute and document Site Action Task Force (SATAF) activities for bed down locations. ? Provide support in the development of long-range plans, roadmaps, mission area plans, and other formal and informal planning documents. ? Assist in requirements development and modernization of airborne ISR aircraft and ground station communications systems to include radios, radars, satellites, and information networks? Expert knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications mandatory?Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project. Other Desirable Requirements:Candidates must possess an active Top Secret clearance and be eligible for SCI prior to contract award.
