Details: Job Responsibilities:General Dynamics Information Technology is looking for an Information Security Specialist to provide support to AFNIC for the AFNet Integration Support program. AFNIC requires a wide range of C&A and Information Assurance expertise to assist AFNIC in the AFNet Integration process and in obtaining engineering, technical and procedural documentation for validating the networthiness of products, applications and solutions through security, compatibility, interoperability and integration testing with AFNet core services and common/standard infrastructure.The AFNet Integration effort will perform all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.As an Information Security Specialist, job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:• Performing Network Validation tasks and vulnerability tasks on hardware and software;• Performing Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/Government-Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) vulnerability assessments to evaluate the risk of operating the desktop and Web-based products and applications;• Performing software installation and conduct security scans of the installed software;• Analyzing output of the various scanning tools and present findings in a test report that assesses the vulnerability of each finding; • Managing workflow process to facilitate requests entering testing, validation, and implementation within the test environment;• Reviewing MAJCOM/AFNET/system IAM's IT software requests and determine package readiness; Assisting customers with processing/assembling the package; Monitoring progress of packages and provide metrics; • Evaluating requirements, reviewing functional specifications, networthiness plans and test plans for products, applications, and systems and building the testing environment; • Coordinating with external test ranges and facilities in building federated test environments; • Testing products, applications and systems against dependent core services as well as evaluating integration into AFNet; • Providing analysis and recommendations on feasibility to integrate the application into the AFNet; • Analyzing network configuration and traffic flow data; • Identifying design flaws and risks that can degrade level of performance; • Developing test and analysis procedures and provide instructions to network operators and maintainers on collection of data required for analysis; • Identifying analysis tools and performance standards for joint and AF working groups, integrated process teams, and panels. • Developing plans for validating networthiness, design test scenarios, test plans and configurations, execute and documenting tests and coordinating and orchestrating testing. Required Education:Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience. Required Work Experience:Minimum of 5 years of certification and accrediatation (C&A) experience required.Certifications: Minimum of DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification Minimum of GSEC, SSCP, SCNP or Security+ with Security+ certification preferred Microsoft MCSE certification (or relevant Microsoft certification for Windows operating systems)Familiarity with Federal Desktop Core Configuration or DoD Server Computing Core required.Familiarity with DoD and AF developmental and operational test processes, the AFNET envirnoment and AFNIC processes preferred. Other Desirable Requirements:Secret Clearance PreferredAs a minimum must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Interim Secret is acceptable.
