Details: ZONING / SOLID WASTE ADMINISTRATORTAYLOR COUNTY ZONING DEPARTMENTTaylor County has a full-time opening for a Zoning / Solid Waste Administrator.The Administrator enforces zoning, shoreland, wetland, floodplain, subdivision and sanitary rules and regulations for Taylor County. The Administrator oversees the private sewage system regulation program, conducts and reviews sanitary system inspections for compliance, reviews CST soil evaluations, conducts on-site sanitary system construction inspections and issues zoning permits. This individual also develops and monitors various program budgets, administers County solid waste management/recycling program, metallic and non-metallic mining programs, the Uniform County Address System program, land subdivision ordinance, and coordinates clean sweep events.Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Soil Science, Resource Management or related field with one to two years experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. Individual must be certified as a Wisconsin soil tester and have the Private Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (POWTS) inspector license in order to perform in this position.
